ABOUT PLAYING WITH FIRE

Playing with Fire was established in 2002 to wholesale Australian indigenous rainforest fruits, nuts and spices to restaurants and cafes. Our award winning range of rainforest fruit jellies and rainforest tea infusions came soon after, and is now sold all over Australia . We were awarded a GOLD and 2 BRONZE MEDALS at the Sydney Royal Agricultural Societys Fine Foods Show with our first entry in a fine foods competition. Today, we produce 5 exquisite rainforest jellies, 4 varieties of tea infusions, and 7 australian bush spices, as well as our unique bushfire blend plus a range of gourmet products that would satisfy any occasion. Finger Lime Cordial, Chocolate Macadamia Coffee, Rosella Flowers in Syrup and Outback dukkah are all available, and we are adding products all the time, as seasonal fruits become available..

Our products are as nature created them free of genetically modified ingredients, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. And they are highly nutritious foods in their own right......these are foods that have been used by Aboriginal people for many thousands of years as an essential part of a balanced nutritious and varied diet.

We grow several varieties of native foods at " Pheonix Park ", one of the original trial plantations of bushfoods in our region. The plantation has over 300 lemon myrtle trees, 100 Aniseed myrtle trees, Riberries, Lilly Pillys, Davidson Plums, Tamarinds, Almonds, Finger Limes, Doojah, Beach Cherries, Rainforest mint, and more. We source locally grown fresh ingredients, and take advantage of the magnificent coastal and rainforest envioronments that the northern rivers region of NSW has to offer. We have a love of nature and see Australian native foods as viable sustainable farming alternatives that all Australians should be taking a lot more notice of.
